About Jane
From 2008 until 2011 I participated in the Listen Into Life program training Spiritual Directors. This was a profound experience of spiritual formation.
In 2016 I commenced theological studies at St Mark's National Theological Centre in Canberra, and graduated with an MA in theological studies in 2022.
From 2016 to 2019 I taught the subject "Introduction to Spiritual Direction in the Christian tradition" in the Masters of Pastoral Counselling course, at St Mark's National Theological Centre.
I have worshipped in the Anglican tradition for my adult life, loving leading and creating liturgy and also preaching. Additionally, due to work opportunities, I count myself privileged to have been immersed in Catholic spiritual formation for nearly 20 years.
I am deeply influenced by the writing of Rowan Williams, Esther De Vaal, Samuel Wells, Nick Cave, and Tim Winton. The way I see the world and faith has been transformed listening to the insights of Christian indigenous leaders such as Ray Minnecon and Miriam Rose Ungunmerr. I practice contemplative spirituality in silence, stillness and movement, nature, metaphor, poetry, and scripture.
